Weâve struggled with similar challenges too. While it hasnât been as extreme as a âhate list,â there have been issues with outbursts, irritation, and a lack of help with babysitting and other things. Weâve had some deep, heartfelt conversations, but unfortunately, it didnât make much of a difference. There are moments when everything feels wonderful, but then it shifts, and a wave of anger takes over. Iâm star ting to wonder if dementia might be playing a role here, especially since weâre talking about a 70-year-old.
Weâve found a way to keep the connection alive, but itâs very limited. We only reach out when we really need help with babysitting, like when the preschool is closed. Outside of that, we donât get much support. So, sadly, it only happens a few times a year.
