NY Dads: Any real remote side gigs that pay without a degree?

Hey dads…

I’m broke rn 😅 need something remote I can do on my own schedule.

I know it’s a long shot, but after scrolling through Indeed, Glassdoor, etc., maybe someone’s found a legit part‑time contract gig I can do from home.

I’ve got a full‑time job but it ain’t cutting it, just wanna snag a few extra bucks each week.

So far DaraAnnotation is a joke—$20/hr AI training but you need a BA, Telus International/Digital makes you take an assessment for everything, then you wait days to hear you’re not eligible, Gaggle makes you fill out an online thing and then says you’re not eligible, and Welocate has nada.

I’m in NY, know some gigs have state requirements.

Any heelp would be appreciated 🙏.

Man, network marketing has been incredible! The comp plan is killer, and I get to work wherever and however I want. It doesn’t take me away from family.

Hudson Valley has a busy DoorDash/Grubhub schedule if you want to try it. If you live in the Broome/Tioga County area, I might be able to find work for you, though it would require a longer drive.

IMO, tough it out as long as you can. Train up. Start a more lucrative career. My goal: work as little as possible, earn as much as possible. Time is a precious currency.

Hire a local who needs ditch diggers or someone to haul pavers from the front yard to the new patio site on weekends.
Don’t be afraid get sweat equity going.
We are allowed to do labor gigs for money.

Sign up for Uber Eats, DoorDash, Instacart, and Spark Shopping. I’m in a SparkShoppers crew and see people raking in $700+ a week in hot‑spot zones with barely any mileage.

If you haven’t already, go ahead and set up a LinkedIn profile. There are plenty of remote tech jobs posted there, and in NY they’re required to include salary expectations.
