We had a harder time with my son, but eventually he just got it. Once we laid off, his schedule pooped so we set a timer, about every 10 minutes, around that time. When he made it, we turned it into a big‑big‑deal party dance. We also struck deals: the bigger‑deal toy he wanted if he went a week pooping on the potty.
Try to stay calm and consistent; try not to scold when it happens. It’s hard, I know, but stick with it it comes.
We approached potty training with both kids as separate for pee and poop. My daughter got it instantly, never had night accidents. My son took longer; he still wears a pull‑up at bedtime.
I’ll say if she’s in undies, don’t switch her to pull‑ups for the pooping problem. Kids’ underwear is cheap; just toss it and buy more. Let her pick special undies she’s excited about maybe with characters from shows and tell her that the little guy wouldn’t want poo on him.
With my daughter we used a seat that went on the real toilet, flipped it backwards, gave her bath‑time crayons, and let her draw on the lid until she pooped. Just a few different things we tried.
There are potty watches on Amazon with different characters; the timer runs and goes off. It’s trial and error, to an extent, but stay consistent for a while, then switch it up.
Stay calm and she’ll get it. I’ll?tell you, just between my two they’re all different, and there will be steps backward with accidents out of nowhere.
