You’ve lost a kid. Nobody’s expecting you to just bottle it up. It’s okay to break down not just today, but on the days ahead, too. You loved your son and it hurts to lose him. Grieve him openly the way you loved him openly. Share your grief with your wife just like you share your love with her. When she grieves, remember she’s the only other person who loved your son as much as you did. The love and the pain you both feel are special. In this case, being strong and ebing vulnerable are the same thing.
