How do I remove my boat’s old bimini top for replacement?

I cherish the Bimini on my boat... how can I take it off to replace it? I already have the replacements.

Drill out these dimples. That's what is holding them in place.

I actually bought metal electrical conduit from Home Depot, and I felt a surge of excitement as I built it out of that. I replaced the two support ones with a thicker metal, essentially. And you can buy the screw‑on piece at West Marine.

I understand. I’d drill it out, then put a screw or nut in for the new one.

Grab it with vise grips and pull/twist. 😏 That’s how I got my plastic ones out. I’d vote you replace with stainless that attach to the outside. 👍 Get the version with 2 set screws instead of just 1. 🔧
