Jeeps or Tacomas with 2 kids? Need 4WD + manual—real-world advice?

So, wife recently got a new SUV… I'm next in the next year… Need space for (2 forward‑facing) kiddos… Looking at 4‑door Jeep Wranglers—anyone have one with 2 kids? Or a small truck (Tacoma). Like/want Jeep ‘cuz I miss driving a manual—thanks! Open to other ideas (manual a plus! And has to be 4WD/AWD).

If you choose a Wrangler from before 2014, I have to say I wouldn’t recommend it unless, of course, you truly love the feeling of handing over money to the mechanic.
