How do I reconnect with my grown daughter after 17 years apart?

Anyone have experience reuniting with a child they raised after being separated from their parent over a decade? What do I wear? What do I do? Where do I take her? She was 7 then. She’s 24 now and still my little girl. I'm just worried she won’t like me.

I think you should just be yourself. That way neither side gets let down. Dress the way you normally do maybe a little nicer, but not a lot and act like you usually would.

Oh, damn yeah, that's rough. I've been there too. It felt weird at first, at least for me. I mean, I just sat there, totally stunned, watching her and her siblings doing their thing, and kept thinking, “this is my daughter.” And I'm barely pushing 30.
