Where can my wife find remote work with fibromyalgia in Minnesota?

Hey guys, does anyone have remote work leads? My wife was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and was told she can’t work the manufacturing floor or drive.

We've tried to get disability, but,it's a long story.

I've been covering the bills, but each year it gets harder, and I'm at my wits' end.

I think she would excel in emergency dispatch or trucking, but any remote work lead would help, please.

Good luck with your DISABILITY; I’ve been fighting it for almost nine years. I’m also a VETERAN and have been seeking remote work. If she meets the required words‑per‑minute standards, there are countless opportunities. Local police departments in Wisconsin are hiring, especially as the older cohort retires likely the same elsewhere. You could also consider applying for a county position.

I am a veteran; she is not. She has strong computer skills and is currently learning to program with G‑code and design vectors. She previously worked with databases and SAP. She has worked in a call center but didn’t enjoy it as much. She is mechanically inclined and has delivered vehicles before. She does not hold a formal degree.

Not necessarily something that's instantly useful, but you should explore tech coding and programming. Coursera offers a course that gives you an IT certificate right away. After that, she could work remotely at an IT help desk. Check out freecodecamp.org; they have real‑world applicable certificates. Fiverr and Upwork have plenty of gigs. Honestly, she could pick up a lot of coding gigs though she’ll need a solid grasp of whatever language she uses. I suggest starting with HTML and CSS, then Java. There are also several other remote paths she could take.

Also, this is pretty niche. If she’s into D&D or has ever played, there are a bunch of sites where she can run a campaign and charge people to join. She could charge $10 per person, run three‑to‑four‑hour sessions, and have three different groups of five each week. That could add up. It probably won’t cover rent, but it could help with small bills or household items.

I’ve been in a similar spot after a recent MS diagnosis. I’m also in Minnesota, so these are the things I’ve been doinng to make a bit of extra cash.
