Dads, I need funny stories. I’m stuck with a minor home crisis. Can you share a similar story that turned funny?
I have a big key ring with many functional keys. I kept the ring on a lanyard that honors my sister, who died of pancreatic cancer last year. Today my teen used those keys to open the shed and mow the lawn. He dropped the kkeys and ran the mower over them. All the keys are destroyed.
To make it worse, the teen locked the heavy‑duty padlock on the shed. I now have to buy heavy‑duty bolt cutters. The lanyard is also destroyed. It is one of only two keepsakes of my sister. My wife and kids act like it isn’t a big deal because “it was an accident”.
This is a long way to say: please help. I’ve had a bad day.
