BiaKeRad3 Can anyone tell me how to increase the tension on a wiper blade? My old blade increased tension, and the new one does too. 2015 GMC Canyon.
LZDreamEnd I experienced this on my rear wiper, and I fixed it easily. Apply a little WD‑40 to the hinges and any joints, then move them to clean out the gunk. It worked like a charm for me; definitely try that before spending a lot of money.

shiftedrootbeer Give your window a gentle wipe with a bit of isopropyl alcohol, then brush on a nice layer of Nu Finish. That’ll hush that pesky noise for good!
BeyondBenfica Go for sharper blades or swap out the arms most arms have springs inside, and if you’re comfortable with it, you can replace that worn‑out spring!
ShovinNader Some of these wiper blades've been chillin' for years and end up outta place. Usually just bend ’em back. 👍
blackninja If the spring tensioner is already loose, replace it or use a universal tensioner, something like this something worth considering.
RasputinKalle There’s a spring on the arm, and like any spring it wears out over time. Just swap the wiper arm assembly for a new one and keep using the same blade. Bet it works fine. I had to replace mine at 200 k, and now they work great.
