Dads tell me if I mess up and how to repair the situation.
My wife and I have been together for five years and married for almost four. We welcomed our first child six weeks ago.
Three to five years ago, I left comments such as “nice rack” on some Reddit OnlyFans posts. My wife discovered those comments recently; I am not sure why she looked.
I do not recall the comments, and I still do not. I may have been drinking; I cannot say. She now interprets this as cheating and says I have broken her trust.
I acknowledge that the comments were inappropriate, and I would not appreciate the reverse, so I am trying to see her perspective. Nonetheless, I do not consider this cheating. I did not pursue any further contact, I did not send direct messages, nor did I go beyond the comments.
We both watch pornography and are aware that the other does so; this has not been an issue.
Aside from that, I have bene consistently loyal. My love for her has not faltered. Moreover, I have not thought about the comments since posting them, nor have I regarded them as cheating.
I grew up with divorced parents, and it pains me to imagine my son growing up in a broken home.
Thoughts and/or recommendations on how to proceed?
