How can I improve my job search as a Deaf software engineer?

Hey dads, got any advice or words of encouragement for a fellow dad who's feeling down about the job market and, to some extent, himself?

I’ve been laid off since September because of targeted budget cuts and being on a Legacy team (Software Engineering). I’ve been throwing applications at the wall non‑stop, and while I’ve snagged a few in‑person and video interviews, nothing’s clicked yet.

I’m a Deaf Software Engineer and I’d love some tips on how to make myself a bit more appealing to prospective employers in the Computer Science field.

I may not know much about the field, but I want to tell you keep your head up. This tough patch is only temporary and it doesn’t define your worth.

Keep working so hard to find a new gig, but please be gentle with yourself and trust that it will happen soon.
