Need a short, sturdy bedtime board book for my 18-month-old—calm &

Our daughter has been using the same bedtime book for about a year, and while we appreciate routines, the family is ready for a change. During a recent visit to Target, I searched for a suitable replacement but found nothing that met our criteria. We are looking for a board book with sturdy pages, as our 18-month-old tends to tear pages. The book should be relatively short, wiht calming imagery and themes of sleeping or napping. While engaging content is entertaining, our priority is something that promotes relaxation.

Do you have any recommendations for a durable bedtime book that we can enjoy before introducing Alfons and Pippi? She turns 18 months tomorrow, so an online order could be a good option if we find the right fit.

A real classic is "Knock on!" it’s a board book and tends to be pretty popular for a few years. There are also some great Winnie the Pooh books with sturdy pages. Worth checking out secondhand options too there are usually plenty of good books that can handle some wear and tear without needing to be too careful with them.

We have a subscription to a children’s book service (where this book came from). They send age appropriate books every month. Lots of sturdy board books and interactive ones with flaps to pull. Highly recommend!

My daughter has to read Goodnight Moon every night. I know it by heart, but all of Margaret Wise Brown's books are really good. They're calm, simply but pleasantly illustrated, and there are plenty of things in the pictures to talk about if you feel like it, even if they're not in the text.

The bedtime book is hands down the favorite here at home. Every evening she gets to choose a bedtime book, and every single time, she points to it.

Anything by this author is excellent we have three of them and they were really popular at that age. They’re available as sturdy paperbacks.

My soon to be 2 year old daughter loves the book "Goodnight, Farm." I think it works perfectly as a bedtime story, and she can even join in by pointing and learning. I highly recommend it! It has sturdy pages and can handle some rough handling 😃

Goodnight, My Little Rabbit" is great. It encourages the child to help with bedtime, like fluffing up the pillow, patting the ears, and turning off the lamp.

The Baby's Room book is super popular I just ordered the second one because I'm a bit tired of the first. Otherwise, it's "Guess How Much I Love You," which has to be read every night, even if we've read something else first.

Moomin and Little My Discover...." works well for my 18 month old. The stories aren't too long, and the hard pages are durable. I can suggest checking out a few different ones from the library to see what really clicks.

We read Tap the Window tonight. My daughter happily started tapping along after a few pages (once she caught on to the concept) and fell asleep almost before the bears did 😂😎

Knock on" "Goodnight Farm" "Goodnight, My Little Rabbit" and the Babblarna's Lullaby Book. Has worked great for winding down at home 🙂
