How should I respond if my partner asks me to mow when it just rained?

If your wife or girlfriend asked you to show her how to start the mower—because the front yard needs mowing, yet you haven’t because it’s rained for two days—how would you respond?

My mower thought it would help me out once and mow while I was at work. It couldn’t get started, so it asked our neighbor for help. I was surprised and grateful when I got home.

I’d ask her if she’s tryna say something roundabout or if she actually just wants to mow. Tbh, either way she’s either gonna mow the yard or get schooled on how to actually communicate.

You tell her, with gentle honesty, why she shouldn’t me it so you don’t pull clumps out and even possibly damage the mower. Yet you also lovingly show her how to start it. She deserves the education she longs for, and she also deserves the deeper insight you can share.
